What is the first thing I should do after a Florida car accident?

Video Transcription:

First thing that you should do after a Florida car accident is make sure that you and the passengers of your vehicle are safe. The second thing you need to do is evaluate the injuries. See that if you need or if your passengers need medical treatment and if you do need medical treatment, immediately call 911. The fourth thing that you should probably do on scene is start collecting and documenting evidence.

This includes the names, addresses and phone numbers of any witnesses. You take photos of the vehicles, take photos of any injuries, whether it’s yourself or the other car. If you can take a picture of the tag number, take a picture of the VIN number. Also, if you can get the at-fault driver to admit fault on video or write down that they were at fault, you would document that at the scene because so often they will change their tune shortly after they leave the accident scene.
